Hall-of-Famer Ferguson Jenkins - A Great Player with a Great Cause

Attended a terrific golf tournament held on behalf of the kids served by Sons of Baseball. Sons of Baseball is a 501(c)(3) non-profit children's charity and provides children with disabilities a VIP experience at a baseball venue. Colleges, minor leagues, and Major League Baseball all participate with us at most MLB parks around the country.

I was asked to create a piece to feature supportive celebrity athlete, the great Ferguson Jenkins.

Sons of Baseball operates like Make-A-Wish® Foundation where a child and his or her family is given a special day. We arrange for them to tour a ballpark, meet with with coaches and players, receive their own authentic jersey, throw out the first pitch, and also watch the game from great seats. It is a wonderful thing to see these children and their families be treated like VIPs and forget about their challenges for a little while. Everyone volunteers their time and work on behalf of the cause. It's super gratifying both as a donor and as a chaperon to see the joy that comes from a day of baseball.

This image above is the symbol for the Buck-O-Month Club, an opportunity to make a donation as a monthly auto-withdrawal at a level that is comfortable for supporters. Please take a moment and review the Sons of Baseball website and consider getting involved!
