#Harley-Davidson motorcycles, specifically, are remarkable.
A beautiful frame, options to sit low, extended out, and built to be appreciated.
Do you hear that? The motor makes that sound ... a sound that is copyrighted.
I have create paintings of mostly vintage bikes and that's because
they help tell a nostalgic story. Who doesn't love a vintage Harley?
I love the angles and the textures, the shine off the chrome and the deep blacks here and there ... and the dull color tires. I even love the shadow they cast.
This particular piece shares some of the icons of Park City, Utah. Old timers will notice the window with the blue bottles of spirits at the old National Garage building. I took poetic license by making the building red. I moved a door over and put up some signs and bike plates. I create my own reality sometimes when I paint. Reality can be great, too. Sometimes I think it needs a little nudge.

Do you have a favorite bike? What is it about it?
Tell me about it.
I will paint it.
P.S.
I found other great quotes on the love of riding motorcycles here:
