My Bio

Stewart Anstead is a Utah artist who paints landscapes, figurative work, and portraiture in acrylics. His subjects range from the landscapes he loves, including the random-patterned forests and the orderly rows of orchards, to the buildings, the people, and the activities that make life so interesting. He loves the use of color and paints “fat”, laying down thickly-impasted, loose strokes.

His work is carried by galleries in Utah, Arizona, Oregon, and California, and has appeared in local, national, and international newspapers, magazines, catalogs, and Websites. His paintings are part of commercial collections in restaurants, hotels, cruise ships, yachts, and in private collections around the world.

Stewart earned an advertising degree from Brigham Young University.
His studio is in American Fork, Utah.
